The crown jewel of the 14 Red Dogs Triad’s black sites, The Phlegethon is a large prison ship originally composed out of the wreckage of two cargo transport carriers.
Among the dogs it's slang name roughly translates to Boiling Blood Hell and it is managed by members of the Research and Development department.
Inside are many identical cells; created for human testing of maltech, recreational drugs, and illegal cybernetics, line the walls. It's here that the finishing touches are put on the products of the 14 Red Dogs before they hit the streets.
In its current state, the ship is a hulking behemoth of twisted metal. The addition of many cannibalized ships, materials from stolen grav-trucks, and abandoned scrap metal has given the ship its signature size.
Its twisting halls are kept together by the work of prisoners, slaves, and rebellious dogs under a watchful eye. Rumours have it that among the prisoners are a few ex-Cygnus nobles.
