For centuries, the People have been suppressed by the nobility. The so-called “Noble” Houses enjoy the wealth their respective monopolies afford them, they hold the positions of power in the big corporations and the church. They only have their own interests in mind, not the interest of the People. The People get no say, only suffering.

Because of the struggle for power among the Houses, the Imperial Throne now is vacant. Did House Cygnus plan to use their synths to become the only power? Did House Crux just make that up, in order to claim the Imperial Throne for themselves? For the People, it matters not! Either way it was the scheming of a House that leads to the suffering of the People.

The People suffer twofold because of the recently enacted “All Synths Must Die” policy:

• The loss of the synth workforce leads to a shortage in supplies, not for the wealthy, but for the People.

• The replacement of the synth workforce with humans leads to a drastic deterioration in working conditions, not for the wealthy, but for the People. 

The People suffer manyfold from the vacancy of the Imperial Throne:

• The Houses Major and Minor are vying for the Imperial Throne, the resulting instability will mainly cause damage to the People.

• The church is guaranteed the Imperial Throne if the Houses cannot decide on an Emperor, adding to the instability of the situation.

• In the aftermath of the vacancy, the ones on the “wrong side” will be punished, disregarding the fact that the People had no actual choice in the matter.

But the suffering of the People is not inevitable! The vacancy of the Imperial Throne is a chance to finally topple the corrupt and complacent Empire and liberate the People! The Houses, the corporations, the church, all the powers of old, have to be dissolved! The power belongs to the People!

Let us rally under the banner of the UPC and end the Empire!
