With the Deathless and and Aquila at the door, Captain Vagrant Slater had no choice but to attempt a daring short range interstellar drill in nothing more than a cramped fighter.
After nearly 9 days of meta-dimensional spaceflight he emerged a free man. Hungry both to rebuild his pirate fleet and in a very literal sense.
Traits and appearance[]
Vagrant Slater, or "Slater" is a pirate captain and active member of the "House" Vagrant fleet.
Slater is a tall, bald man who some might mistake for a synth at first glance. He is well built and appears to be in his late 30s. He is often associated with shark imagery/iconography.
A skilled fighter and proficient pilot, Slater is often seen with a rather unconventional sledge hammer on his back. This hammer is used for various snatch-and-grab pirate activities but also serves as a method of intimidation and personal branding.
Slater is stoic and reasonable, often times allowing victims of his piracy go free to help spread the tale of his prowess. He enjoys being a pirate and is quick to buy in to the more dramatic elements of the lifestyle.
Ships and Crew []
Currently Vagrant Slater owns two ships, a patrol boat with aggressive docking clamps and mag-cables for teathering, and a small more manuverable fighter for the less straight-forward jobs.
In his spare time he has also obtained a grav-cycle, which he occasionally races competitively while he is out networking or searching for new crew members.
Mech []
Slater currently owns one mech, a featherweight mech stolen (through piracy) from the ACRE corporation which was then re-purposed and re-designed as a combat mech for use in the Blackout illegal mech fighting ring on planet Teuthem.
Notoriety and Illegal activities[]
The bulk of Slater's income comes from intercepting ACRE cargo transport ships and re-selling the whole goods found inside of them, then salvaging the transport ships themselves for scrap.
