The Illustrious Order of the Ouroborous Cycle is a large and watchful section within the Church of Humanity, Repentant that harbors veterans of war, mercenaries and affiliated people who continue to pursue and practice the art of violence.
They believe the universe is in a constant state of change, and that life as the creator intended requires death in an eternal cycle of renewal and repentance in preparation for the great deliverance.
Living with the reality of a commitment to violence, they swear by a concept of humanity as a being made in the image of absolute arrogance and pride.
They often refer to living this life as being not a result of the heavenly command to prosper, but of a heavenly punishment for our pride and inability to accept the creator as we continually reach above our station.
They also believe that evil and suffering is the tool that the Divine uses to temper humanity's arrogance in preparation of the great deliverance. And that it is only through experiencing great suffering and tragedy that humanity will come to start to rethink and repent.
They spend years forging the instruments of great tragedy, always ready to ensure that destiny takes its course. Voluntarily stepping in to introduce as much suffering possible to get the most people to repent.
Practicus or The Practical[]
“Have faith. By drinking from the cup of darkness, making the hard choices, and pragmatically staying the course of fate you are allowing others to shine a light into the darkness you've created. Make sure you have the fortitude, temperance, and wisdom to make a good judgment. That you allow for both justice and injustice to take its course to make room for the great deliverance of mankind. We are the sibling to peace, and for as long as we exist in this world we will continue the great work. We may be disowned, disinherited and condemned by the high church which may proclaim a man to be nothing but an animal. Know that their words hold no power. For we know in our hearts that only the divine can deliver judgment on the soul."
Practicus is a title bestowed upon a sibling after they have risen in rank to become a full member of the order. They perform the practical duties of the Church of Humanity, Repentant and make the sacrifices needed to let their brothers keep well clear of the darker side of worldly matters whenever possible.
