The bodies of several fallen STRAFE members were recovered from Teuthem through various nondescript means. The Crux Cathar Bureau (CCB) put them to good use in a top-secret project entitled Project Double Jeopardy. These reanimated agents are led by loyal Inquisitors and know only three things; pain, vengeance, and the next mission. |
Turn 3.5 | |
Pro-Imperial committee "The Advance," on Hiera met with several Trilliant representatives and began working closely on joint-ventures that would benefit all (but mostly the incredibly wealthy). House Crux has established a division of law-enforcement officers on Berkmann III. This Imperial Reacclimation Force is tasked with assisting the local populace as they reintegrate with the Empire. Additionally, the task force maintains a police presence on the planet in their search for synthetics in hiding. Also referred to colloquially as "the Outriders", or mechanically below as "the Berkmann PM". |

A STRAFE team is assembled under Operation Inscrutable Lapidary, named in honor of the partial funding by the Trilliant Ring (3 FacCreds). Mostly comprised of Cathars, these Trill-outfitted agents specialise in stealth insertions and discreet telepathic observation. When the spotlight hits them however, they will surely gleam.
Operation Inscrutable Lapidary is transported to Demnoph by way of CourTran, delivers the list of offences to ACRE’s doorstep and slips into the shadows of the urbanized world, lurking to evaluate the situation and prepare for a future raid. |

With war once more looming over Acheron Rho, the Imperial Reacclimation Force on Berkmann III finds itself divided. With their presence on planet established, a portion of the Force is sent to rendezvous with the High Church and accompany them in their future endeavours. This particular union was made possible by envoys of the Trilliant Ring, whose assistance was instrumental in getting the Imperial Reacclimation Force up and running quickly. |

After additional defensive measures for Lodestone were requested by the Houses Minor, House Crux opted to send in Alleviation Unit C7: Preponderance of Evidence to alleviate all concern. The enticing orator Ardeshir Vela, second cousin of The Shining Star, preached against the Nobility and the Empire on Imperial Prime at length during the height of the STO War. When at least he sought to escape, his shuttle was shot down by The Firm Hand of House Crux. From the wreckage, his body was recovered and revived to be shipped off to Khal, the Convict's Moon, over Hiera. What has happened to Ardeshir Vela since is unknown, though many expect rigorous questioning and exceptionally poor treatment for the once-noble Velan. |

After their long service with the High Church during the STO War, the Imperial Reclamation Force was requested to return to House Crux command. Concerns were raised that the dust had not settled, and perhaps the Force should remain a little while longer, but Crucian command insisted and ultimately the request was heeded by the High Church.
House Crux's concerns about attempts to manipulate local regulations and economies proved false, and House Crux was quick to return the Trilliant Ring's money, thankful for the aid. |

Ultimately, House Crux did not dispatch additional units to Orpheus, amidst great division within the House. |
Turn 9.5 | |

With the STO War winding down, House Crux turned its attention to Gleipnir Incorporated, the largest prison complex in the Empire. The planet had been taken over by the Chain Agency, an arm of the 14 Red Dogs Triad, during the War, and House Crux, their assets focused elsewhere, had allowed it. With the Triad absorbed by House Triangulum and the Chain Agency replaced, disagreements emerged over who should possess the world, House Crux claiming they had only willed Gleipnir to the Chain Agency until they could once again reclaim it. Concerned by House Triangulum's interest in the world and seeming unwillingness to cooperate, Operation Tyr's Rain (Psychic Assassins) was dispatched to Gleipnir with a search and seizure warrant (below). Elsewhere, the HCS To All, Let Justice Be Dealt, No Matter How Far Afield Fled, Even to Deserts the Other-side of Eternity and Back (Lovingly, Just Deserts) was deployed to Tiber to expedite House Crux's ability to respond to threats in more distant Core Worlds. Election:
In the first round of voting for the new Emperox, House Pyxis received 4 votes, House Fornax received 4 votes, and House Crux received 1 vote from themselves. House Crux was disappointed to see themselves alone in their belief that there could be no better candidate than themselves. After lengthy negotiations with House Triangulum and the establishment of the Jel Vaa Quarantine, House Crux began the process of transferring ownership of the prison facility to themselves. While questioning continued towards the Triangulum nobles about their intentions on the planet, little information reached non-official channels on the true nature of what the two Houses were doing on the planet. Election:
In the second round of voting, only two candidates remaining, House Pyxis received 4 votes, House Fornax received 4 votes, and House Crux cast their vote in favor of the fledgling minor house of Pyxis, bringing their total to a winning 5. The Empire was greatly surprised, as House Crux and House Fornax had long been close, the only two Major Houses to survive the STO War. Word spread that the vote had been incredibly divided, the House of Crux split almost down the middle, and great debates and angry speeches had filled the halls of Ven City. While the ultimate reason for House Crux's decision remains an object of much conjecture, the decision has been made and the new Emperox, Emperox Pyxis, has been chosen. |

Elsewhere, funds and assets from various Crucian holdings were secretly funneled towards Gleipnir, allegedly to help in repairing damage to the prison world caused by the Nanite Plague. Truthfully, House Crux had managed to negotiate a tentative peace with House Triangulum to investigate the damaged AI that watches over the prison as its warden. |
Turn 14.5 | |
Following the war, House Eridanus approached House Crux to acquire appropriate legal permits to produce and ship weaponry as ACRE had previously been given, but which had fallen into legal limbo with the acquisition of the corporation by House Eridanus. Codenamed “Dancers of Orion,” this deployment has the legal documentation and licenses of Biosphere analysts for the Hieran non-profit front company “Jade Panda.” In reality, they are a close-knit group of Crux Inquisitors, dispatched on a long term, top-secret mission of unknown intent. The Inquisitors were mobilized to ICF Gleipnir under the pretense of examining the effects of the nanite plague on Gleipnir’s atmosphere. In reality, they sought information from a number of Gleipnir’s inmates, which was effectively extracted.
Hiera suffered from extensive bombing and localized attacks during the War Against the Artificials. Repair efforts were heavily slowed by the onset of the conflict with the STO, funds redirected to the JES and House Guard. With the election and both conflicts things of the past, the Prince’s Council distributed assets and funds to the Primeborn and the Crucian Satrapy for the repair of Hiera’s cities and lands, as well as final payments on numerous loans held since the War Against the Artificials.
Reports began to emerge that House Crux’s mobilization of funds and assets to ICF Gleipnir had abruptly halted. Leaked transmissions reported the transference of an object called “The Golden Claw,” to the prison not long before, but the object’s nature was unknown. Secure transports arrived not long after in the Ellis system, closely guarded by Crucian House Guard frigates, who escorted the transports towards Hiera’s northern pole. |

Terminus Squad is particularly educated in handling the type of criminals and prisoners that get sent to Gleipnir, and numerous scanning and decontamination procedures await any who come to the prison planet.

Elsewhere, the Imperial Advancement Coalition (The Advance), who had spent months on Diomikato following the STO War, were transported suddenly and without much announcement to Gats. Official reports stated the committee was to assess the dangers of Gats as it currently exists to the Ellis system and the Empire, including possible evidence of Cygnus-remnant terrorists on the planet. Amongst rising sector tensions, House Crux moved to seize the planet Gats, working with the Imperial Throne to declare the High Church's previous seizure illegal, but their intent commendable. House Crux put forward a number of new laws intended to uphold the High Church's holy missives while also providing legal backing to their intent to keep Gats a Holy Place. These laws were collectively titled "The Gats Proclamation." The Advance, a pro-Imperial political coalition already stationed on Gats, was to begin the paperwork necessary to bring in Crucian defenses and personnel to watch over the planet alongside the High Church clerics already present. The Advance focused their efforts primarily on Tezcat Station, a joint operation of the High Church of Messiah-As-Emperox and House Fornax, where they initially encountered resistance. However, through the quick work of the Advance and one Anwalt Dehvani Astrid, the price of the locally-operating Fornax Nobles was sussed out and paid, allowing the Advance to begin their initial efforts to take control of the Station and Gats itself. |
