Guildism is a social, political, and religious movement oriented around the Guild. Guildists believe that man's fate is to transcend human nature, and that this has already been achieved by members of the Guild. Guildism pervades in online spaces but has relatively few important or powerful adherents, since those with the money to do so usually buy spaceships, fly them into guildspace, and die horribly.

While Guildism is technically a part of the Humans Against Mankind subfaction of the Unified People's Collective, both the UPC and HAM tend to underemphasize this connection. When reached out to comment on Guildism, ML Graeber, the founder of HAM said: "What? Who put you up to this? Please stop following me."

History[]

Guildism gained its early following in ACRE product forums. The founder of Guildism is believed to be user fizzycheesedrinker69, although this is sometimes contested. At first, Guildism enjoyed quite a bit of popularity, since it was believed to be a joke, but it became clear that fizzycheesedrinker69 had meant for their ideas to be taken seriously when they began accepting donations so that they could buy a ship to fly to GuildHQ. Near the end of the year, 3196 fizzycheesedrinker69 reached their fundraising goal and made their final post to the ACRE product forums. The true identity of fizzycheesedrinker69 is unknown.

Final corespondance

Theories abound as to what really happened to fizzycheesedrinker69. Some say they likely crashed on their way to GuildHQ, others maintain that the whole thing must have been an elaborate scam or a marketing ploy for Fizzy Cheese. Dedicated Guildists believe that fizzycheesedrinker69 really did manage to join the Guild, and that someday soon they'll return to induct the faithful into the Guild.
