Reverend Edgar Ouroboros stands, not too tall, not too short, a feeling of trustworthiness and wholesomeness projecting out from him. With dark eyes, and dark hair, he stands looking kind and caring. His hair is well groomed and straight cut, his face is clean, with no hint of beard. On seeing you his face lights up, his smile reaching his eyes, and with lips spreading with a wide grin. Edgar stands wearing a well-made suit of woven wool, a crimson tie.
Around his neck on a silver chain is the symbol of his faith, a large cross. The cross itself is intricate, at the center is a large crystal, which gleams in the light almost glowing. Going out from that are complex patterns including the Hindu Om, the lotus flower, the star of David, the pentagram and the inverted pentagram, the star and crescent, and many others. You feel staring at it that if you searched long enough and hard enough you would find a symbol for every major religion that humans have ever followed. As you stare, the symbol fills you with holy joy. You feel warm and safe, surely this man who owns it is worthy to guide and protect you?
Publicly Edgar runs multiple charities, preaches sermons to the faithful and leads the sect called the Kindly Ones. Those who meet him believe that he and his sect are fully committed to spreading kindness, love and peace through the sector.
Reverend Edgar Ouroboros's history before joining the Church of Humanity Repentant is shrouded in mystery. No record exists of him before he emerged as a leader in the sect named the Kindly Ones. The Reverend is fanatical in his worship of these ancient gods. His urbane and kindly exterior is purely a facade under which lurks an iron will, and a ruthless savagery. However it is not to gain personal power that drives him, but rather it is his desire to serve his gods that drives him forward. His relationship with these entities is better described as a hunger or an addiction rather than love. This allows him to without ever losing his gentlemanly manners do some of the darkest acts as part of his role in the Department of Special Circumstances.
