Mahati Astra are exceptionally dangerous weapons, and the Astradhari are the only Reticulum fit to wield them without indiscriminate danger to themselves and others. They are indisputably the greatest warriors that House Reticulum has ever produced, and the House has fallen in line behind them each time one has appeared, either out of deferential respect for their skill, or their sheer force of arm.

House Reticulum

Some speculate that there are numerous Reticulum in history who would have qualified as Astradhari had a disaster struck to drive them to take up the mantle, although such feelings are limited only to speculation, since there is no way to identify them without them appearing to take up the mantle.

It is held that the Astradhari appear during the darkest hours of the House, such as during the War for Human Propserity, or the Imperial Civil Wars. In the fallout of the War of the Artificials, some of Reticulum are wary how much worse the House's situation will get before an Astradhari appears again.

Four Astradhari have risen in the history of Reticulum, each ordained as Arhats by the High Church after their deaths:

The First Astradhari[]

For more information, see The Legend of the First

Now known as the first, there is not much known of the first Astradhari as it was a time long before the scream, but there is a lot said about the Astradhari. They were compassionate, wise, and most importantly skilled. It is said they once defeated a legendary Tatalo of Aomori ‘ Longwei (龙威)’ with nothing but a sharpened stick in one hand and a rock in the other. They were loved and respected by all in House Reticulum.

A key figure in the War for Human Prosperity where they wielded the first Mahati Astra, proclaiming themselves as the First Astradhari and prophesised the appearance of more who will appear when the house needs them most.

The Second Astradhari[]

For more information, see Reticulum Spirituality

Arhat Zetian, second of House Reticulum's Astradhari, stood as a radiant beacon on Aomori, their glory and devotion to the Ten Virtues almost blinding. Under their light the faithful rallied, and the soulless were driven away.

The Third Astradhari[]

For more information, see The Legend of Simo

Astradhari Reticulum Häyhä Simo, the third of House Reticulum's Astradhari, united the house after the scream, where the house devolved into a civil war. Legend has it that only by duelling each army from sun up to sun down was Simo able to convince both sides to stop the fighting where he set up vital institutions that last until today.
