The Advocate is the fictional positioning for the Unified People's Collective faction asset Demagogue. The asset has recently been transferred to the Velan Ascendancy.

The Advocate is the best worst.

Traits and Appearance

The Advocate is a late middle-aged woman who has light hair with a lock of red going down the left side of her face. She is typically seen in a simple brown tunic with a dark yellow scarf wrapped around her neck.

The few who know her, say that she is a very kind-hearted woman who helps those around her and that she regrets that the nobility have forced some of her followers to turn to more extreme ways to achieve their aims, preferring dialogue, protests and civil disobedience to acts of violence.

Pacifist but still passionate.

Biography

The Advocate was a Serf serving aboard a House Crux vessel during the attack on the planet Gats against House Cygnus. After the attack, she deserted from the military and hid her identity. In order to atone for her part in the war, she devoted her life to finding non-violent means of changing the Empire. She found followers and sympathisers on the planet of Yakiyah and became affiliated with the Unified People's Collective.

In February 3200, she went to the planet of Aomori and began working from the shadows spreading her message of rebellion and peace among the forges of House Reticulum, where the same weapons that were used against Cygnus were created. During her time on Aomori, an Aquilan Legion was attacked by a hacker collective known as 0xDEADC0DE. The Legions received orders to leave the planet on something unrelated and the Advocate used this to show that the Empire could be beaten back by methods that didn't involve killing.

In May 3200, the Advocate gave what assistance she could to some Lawyers involved in a court case on Aomori. Members of the ELPH who had arrived to assist the dueling parties were also plotting their own attack against a collection of nobles who had gathered to watch the case. The Advocate managed to get in touch with the ELPH and tried to convince them stop their attack and allow the court case to go unhindered. The ELPH did not listen. Their attack failed. The assassins were killed by House Reticulum and the Lawyers thrown out of court. House Serpens released images of the meet between the Advocate and these terrorists, revealing parts of her identity and damaging public opinion on Aomori against her.
