A secretive and pseudonymous hacker collective affiliated with the UPC. No formal organisation exists and eager hacktivist from across the sector claim membership however core members and founders are all heavily involved with the UPC. Their work ranges from critical comms cracking, identity spoofing, and counter surveillance to defacing websites of the corps and houses.
The first appearance of the call sign, 0xDEADC0DE, was embedded in the computer virus let loose on the imperial transport coordination systems in 3187. The attack carried a message of anti-war propaganda and caused great disarray in intra-system civil transports for several days as several key logistics systems where rendered useless.
The collective is not a political faction in it's own right and it's ideology is as diverse as the UPC but what connects them is the craft and a belief that the revolution is best experienced from afar on your terminal.
